inPDX {TitleNine + A Giveaway}

Thursday, May 28, 2015

If you have been following along for awhile, you know that I have the great privelege of eating a lot of amazing food. Clams, Kiwi Guacamole and chocolate chip cookies have all been on the menu as of late. That requires a good amount of cardio and a few pilates classes every week to counter the deliciousness. I also have a better attitude, more energy and my sleep quality improves exponentially - so many benefits from including fitness into my life!!

One challenge I have with working out is my figure. You see, I am more of a Joan than a Peggy. While I can rock many-a cocktail dress, finding supportive sports bras can be very challenging. A lack of support, thin straps and flimsy fabric can result in a sore back, tender shoulders and revealing situations. I once had quite the slip at pilates - thank goodness the man next to me was a complete gentleman!!

Ziplining deserves support

This brings us to Title Nine - the fitness brand and chain committed to empowering women and providing them with the gear and community to take on just about any physical challenge! They are especially passionate about sports bras that work for you!! You being a 5'10 A Cup yoga gal, or the 5'2 DD hiking junkie! They proudly call themselves 'Bravangelists' bringing the good word of back support and comfort to women around the country - at 29 stores precisely with one in Portland and another in Eugune. Not in one of those cities?? Don't worry, they can fit you over the phone! How cool is that?!

Hiking should also come with a supportive brassiere!

In the coming weeks the Oregon stores will be hosting Bra Fit Tests. With an expanded assortment of bras and even more Bravangelists on-hand you will have the opportunity to find Sports Bras and beyond that are perfect for you! Maybe you is an avid rock climber who needs an over the shoulder boulder holder (Beaches reference) or a busy mom who needs support while chasing after the kids while still looking cute!

  2. Such a cute photo of you! My fave fitness activity is dining out with friends and then laughing loudly with them over the the ridiculousness of life. Wait: that's not fitness? ;) I love working out to the P90x3 & T25 videos with my hubby.

  4. Hiking is my go-to fitness activity, though it's more like strolling through the woods since we go at my toddler's pace these days. And I seriously love Title IX bras. I have one I got when I was nursing and when support was SO ESSENTIAL, and I wasn't disappointed!

  5. Great writing in this post! I just realized I saw you last night and didn't say hi. How rude! I'll make sure to introduce myself next time I run into you.

  6. My favorite fitness activity is going to Zumba at PulsePDX because not only is it full of lots of women and is dancing with no mirrors in the dark like a nightclub, but it has tons of positive energy. In reality though the fitness activity I do the most is walking, because I take public transit as I don't own a car. That means every day I walk 2.5 miles just walking to home max work max home!

  7. I love to hike...we haven't done much of it lately because of our kids, but they are older now and we've started taking them out for shorter hikes.

  11. They are a cool company with lots of options! I wanted to join you all last Wednesday but it was my first night home after a long trip and needed the catch-up time.

    My favorite workouts/what works best for me is strength training mixed with CrossFit-style WODs in our garage gym. I also love hiking on the weekends!

  12. #yaaaasssss to everything about this post. I feel like so many ladies out here, myself included, have no idea how sports bras are supposed to work! Gotta get the girls to not flop in the wind, so we women can stay active!!!
    P.S. Zumba classes in a dimly lit room with no mirrors = in da club! <-- very excited about having that experience, minus club creepers!
